Smith And Jones averaged 8.2 million viewers on BBC One in the overnight ratings for its premiere airing on 31 March. The 1 April encore on BBC Three had 970,000 overnight viewers. The Weakest Link Doctor Who Special got 5.7 million viewers for its overnights on BBC One on 30 March, the best rating for Weakest Link in a long time (the episode did not air in Scotland - Scottish viewers get it Easter Sunday 8 April at 6:10PM on BBC One Scotland). It's good to have a new set of episodes running. |

Totally Doctor Who includes a weekly animated serial - The Infinite Quest - starring David Tennant as The Doctor, Freema Agyeman as Martha Jones, and Anthony Head as the Scourge. Episode 1 of Totally Doctor Who repeats this weekend - episode 2 airs 13 April at 5PM on BBC One. |

CBC Canada http://www.cbc.ca/television concludes its 4th run of Series 1 late this Friday at 12:30AM with Bad Wolf. Looks like The Parting Of The Ways will be left off due to the annual ritual of the Spring Hockey playoffs. The CBC has mentioned that Series 3 will air this Summer following the Stanley Cup playoffs. |

BBC America http://www.bbcamerica.com announced a programming revamp coming later this year. Included in the announcement is that they will air series 2 of Doctor Who (previously aired on SciFi) and series 1 of Torchwood (US premiere of the episodes) as part of their Saturday SciFi lineup. Either one of these shows could launch on BBC America anytime from June to the end of the year. Check their website for the full list of new and returning shows - most returning shows will move to new days - ex: Doctor Who episodes premiered on Tuesdays for Series 1. |

SciFi http://www.scifi.com has dropped a planned 8 hour daytime rotation of Doctor Who scheduled for Tuesday April 17th. For at least the month of April, SciFi is now airing 14 hours of Stargate SG-1 every Tuesday (8AM to 10PM Eastern) as part of the hype for the final episodes of that show. The May 16th Doctor Who daytime rotation is set to be 8 hours from Series 2, and will probably be the episodes that would have aired in April. SciFi will air Series 3 later this year, though no premiere date has been set yet. Hopefully the initial report of Summer that they put on their Doctor Who website (and then pulled) will be correct. |
Note - some stations will preview the series during a pledge drive, then wait a few weeks before airing the show in a regular time slot. |
